Hong Kong International Symposium on Synthetic Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Research
Synthetic chemistry is fundamental to many areas that matter to national development, from innovative drugs and fine chemicals to advanced materials for energy, electronics, and manufacturing. It provides reliable routes to key molecules and materials, while offering practical ways to reduce cost, waste, and environmental burden. This symposium aims to bring together experts from interdisciplinary areas grounded in synthetic chemistry and to foster collaborations that translate new chemistry into solutions with real-world impact. It will also be an excellent opportunity for students and early-career researchers to broaden their scientific horizons. This Hong Kong International Symposium on Synthetic Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Research will be held by the Greater Bay Area Association of Academicians (GBAAA) and co-organized by the State Key Laboratory of Synthetic Chemistry and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hong Kong. The details of the Symposium are as follows: -Date: 14&15 March, 2026 -Location: Wang Gungwu Lecture Hall, The University of Hong Kong
9-11 June 2025
The 17th International Symposium for Chinese Organic Chemists (ISCOC) & The 14th International Symposium for Chinese Inorganic Chemists (ISCIC)
The International Symposium for Chinese Organic Chemists (ISCOC) and the International Symposium for Chinese Inorganic Chemists (ISCIC) were first organized in 1990 and 1996, respectively. In 2002, these two symposia were combined and subsequent symposia were held concurrently, creating a unified platform that has significantly strengthened the exchange of scientific discoveries. Building on the success of ISCC 2023 in Beijing, ISCOC-17 and ISCIC-14 will take place in Hong Kong in June 9-11, 2025. Known as "Asia's world city", Hong Kong provides a dynamic backdrop for these symposia. We warmly invite you to join us for three days of enriching scientific discussions and networking opportunities. We particularly encourage graduate students to attend, as these symposia offer a unique chance to immerse themselves in the forefront of organic and inorganic chemistry research.
