Metal-carbene chemistry is an important research area but yet there are still a lot of unknowns in this research field, which limits the industrial or biological application of metal-carbene chemistry. In this regards, a joint force effort from different research fields, e.g. coordination chemistry, catalysis, natural product synthesis, chemical biology etc., is necessary to transfer the existing knowledge and technology to practical application. The Consortium is the first international platform to bring the related researchers together for extensive knowledge exchange.
